Useful fitness resources.
With all of the social media fitness gurus out there nowadays the onslaught of advice is never ending. How do we know which way to turn when we suffer from this overwhelming amount of "fitness/nutrition information overload"? Well.... I've been absorbing fitness information like a sponge since 1990. What have I found out? There is a lot of useful information out there, and there is a lot of useless information out there. I thought it might be helpful to pass along some of the most useful resources that I have found over the years.
Joe Defranco This self proclaimed "Jersey Meathead" is one of the best coaches in the business. His website, youtube channel, social media outlets and podcasts will provide you with a University Masters Degree level of education, with one caveat. You'll need to dedicate a few thousand hours to get through it all.
Jason Ferruggia Another self proclaimed "Jersey Meathead" who has been in the game for a long time. He has experienced all of the ups and downs of the iron game. His podcast is one of the most popular fitness podcasts going and he is highly respected by those "in the know".
Eric Cressey Is known as the "shoulder guy" and is highly sought after by professional baseball players, but his knowledge goes way beyond just shoulder work. Check him out if you are in the Boston area or Jupiter Florida.
Jeff Cavaliere AKA Athlean X, has been around a very long time and runs the most popular fitness channel on youtube with 4 MILLION subscribers. He is a Physical Therapist and Strength Coach who walks the walk when it comes to both his nutrition and training.
Crossfit.com Like it or hate it, Crossfit is here to stay. It has brought barbell lifts, olympic lifting, kettlebells, workouts of the day (WODS) and indoor rowing to the masses. It has been so successful that it garnered sponsorship form Reebok. More importantly it has introduced a whole lot of men and women to the gym and competitive lifting.
I hope this gives you some resources that will be helpful in your quest to become the best version of yourself. Have some great fitness resources that you'd like to share? Drop us a line on our facebook page or email and let us know.
